The Background
Earlier in 2021, the clients, a dynamic couple with a love of entertaining, decided to purchase this 3 bedroom penthouse located on the top floor of the Tanzanite Apartments in the Tiara Residences on the Palm Jumeirah.
The clients are avid entertainers and enjoy hosting business meetings, and networking parties as well as entertaining family and friends on a regular basis.
Hence, Milestone focused on facilitating entertainment through a bold, dynamic transformation of interior and exterior space.
THE PROJECT
The penthouse apartment occupies the entire top floor of the apartment structure and is designed so that all interior spaces enjoy the beautiful surrounding views.
The entrance is enhanced by a flower wall adjacent to the main door. This feature, visible from the terrace when you re-enter the apartment, creates a dreamy ambience perfect in keeping with the surreal terrace views.
A modern wall feature, designed opposite the entrance, features a striking floor-to-ceiling marble-like slab framed with wooden slats. Beyond, visitors get their first glimpse of the magnificent panoramic views.
The living room is large and spacious and features an elegant dining table and a plush indoor bar area.
The living room is designed to enhance the experience of watching television. The TV is a generous wall-mounted contraption flanked by woodwork, all created in Milestone’s carpentry shop at Al Quoz.
The modern look is tempered with photos of family that line the wooden unit, creating a picture-perfect space imbued with warmth.
A wall-mounted, wood-clad bar at one end of the dining area stores an ample amount of liquor and is fitted with TEKA appliances, a wine cooler and a fitted refrigerator to serve both the dining area as well as the outdoor terrace.
The sophisticated collections of custom furnishings, framed by the captivating views of the surrounding cityscape are the perfect prelude to the terrace garden which lies just beyond.
A wall-mounted, wood-clad bar at one end of the dining area stores an ample amount of liquor and is fitted with TEKA appliances, a wine cooler and a fitted refrigerator to serve both the dining area as well as the outdoor terrace.
Two fireline tables, joined together, create an inviting area for lounging on the terrace. Sophisticated, yet warm and cozy, the ambience of the lounge area is amplified by soft lighting from battery operated lanterns.
The Result
Bespoke furnishings, customized woodwork, and ceiling treatments, augmented with carefully chosen light fittings, create an unexcelled space that is everything the clients wished for.
Perfect for entertaining, this home is equally suited to hosting large dinner parties as it is to more intimate dinner parties with family and friends.
We had to ensure that the interiors made a gesture as impactful as the breathtaking views that dominate this penthouse apartment. With careful thought to furniture placement, finishes, and material selection, Milestone was able to do just that.
